Basically I am making this blog because I want to have a clear, crisp memory of my upcoming trip to Italy! Today is Thursday, May 30, 2013 and I am leaving for Italy on Sunday! As I am packing, I am realizing that I don't have many conservative casual clothes, which tourists apparently need to enter certain buildings for tours. I basically have "business woman" and "party girl" attire. Hmmm. I think maybe a hybrid of the two will have to suffice... "Partizness" attire if you will :)
Besides attire, I am nervous about a ton of other things. One- I (the most forgetful unorganized person ever) am traveling a red-eye with layovers... ALONE. I am no superhero, but that combination gets my spidey senses tingling... it has potential to be bad news bears. In all honesty, I think it is high time I had a "big girl" trip. I will prove to everyone (including myself) that I am a responsible adult! At 26, I don't think it's too late. I mean, some people who are older than I am have never even been remotely close to pretending to even pose as a responsible adult. Anyway, the second thing I am nervous about is that everyone is going to be lame and go to sleep early all the time. In that case, I don't really care. I will ride solo. I am pretty good at mingling... thanks cheerleading and promo! This, however, is not always a good thing... Which leads me to my final fear: Me walking along and someone covering my head with a burlap sack and shoving me in their car, Taken-style. Man I shouldn't have ever watched those movies...
So, I have learned some phrases..."I'm sorry, I don't speak Italian", "Excuse me", "How Much?". I feel as though I should learn, "I have herpes" or "I have explosive diarrhea" as well. To fend off creepers of course.
So anyways, that's my pre-trip rundown! I am super excited to be sharing this experience with whoever is reading this blog. If you know me, you know this is about to get wayyyyy interesting. Eccitato!
